Exterior Design & Build Quality: A Head-Turning Spectacle
First impressions? The MG Cyberster is a head-turner in the truest sense of the word. During my evaluation period, I frequently encountered pedestrians halting to inquire about the vehicle, eager to learn more. It is a rarity in today’s crowded automotive sphere to encounter a car that garners such immediate attention, especially within this pricing bracket.
The MG Cyberster is endowed with numerous design elements that set it apart from the conventional automotive landscape. The most striking feature is undoubtedly the powered scissor doors. Deploying them in a public setting guarantees a surge of attention from onlookers. Both doors operate with a satisfying touch of a button and are equipped with integrated sensors to prevent any accidental collisions during their articulation. However, the visual drama extends far beyond the mechanism of the doors.
MG Cyberster front view: The front façade presents a clean, striking, and remarkably beautiful profile. It features narrow LED headlights elegantly complemented by distinctive petal-shaped LED daytime running lights. In most driving conditions, the screens are crisp, vibrant, and exceptionally easy to read. However, when the roof is down and the sun is beating directly on the dashboard, the brightness levels feel insufficient, rendering all the displayed information difficult to discern. This is a significant drawback for a convertible designed for open-air enjoyment.
